Outbound calculator
Move the sliders. The calculator sizes the sending infrastructure a cold email program needs and estimates the meetings it should produce, using the same rules we use to plan client programs: 25 to 50 emails per inbox a day, two or three inboxes per domain, and the reply-rate bands from the 2026 benchmark reports.
How the math works
The rules behind the numbers, with sources.
Why 25 to 50 emails per inbox?
Hunter's 2025 data found inboxes sending 20 to 49 emails a day replied 27% above average, while volumes over 100 a day hurt deliverability. Our programs run 25 to 50 per inbox with warmup on top. Read how many cold emails to send per day.
Why two or three inboxes per domain?
Domain reputation is shared by every inbox on it. Keeping each domain at 100 to 150 cold emails a day limits the damage if one has a bad week, and stays far below Gmail's 5,000-a-day bulk sender line.
Where do the reply and meeting rates come from?
Instantly's 2026 benchmark report puts the average reply rate at 3.43% of emails sent, with the top quartile above 5.5%. Across our programs about a third of replies are positive and about half of those become held meetings. See the cold email benchmarks guide.
What isn't in the cost?
Data, verification, the sending platform, warmup, copy and the people running it. The infrastructure line is only domains and inboxes, so you can see how cheap the plumbing is compared with the work.
